Contract type: Full-Time, 37 hours per week, Temporary contract 12 months

Salary: Grade 10 (£37,336 to £39,186)

Location: Humberside Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters

We are looking for an eager candidate to work for Humberside Fire and Rescue Service in the role of Corporate Project Officer for a temporary period of 12 months, based at Service Headquarters but also with the option to work from home two days a week.

The ideal candidate will have proven work experience as a Project Officer or similar role and have a robust understanding of project management concepts, frameworks and methodologies, to be able to choose the best depending on the type of the project. You will be able to display strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills and have strong attention to details and technicalities, as well as being enthusiastic, organised and apply innovative solutions. You will have a keen eye for detail, quality, supporting and contributing towards the needs of the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

Lead in the planning, organisation, co-ordination, delivery, and evaluation of Service projects.

  • Achievement of project aims and measurable outcomes.
  • Negotiation and engagement with stakeholders
  • Budget and resource management
