I want to say a special thanks and show my immense gratitude to the 3 firefighters that came to assist me on 8 December. After I had a fall in the house and was waiting on an ambulance, I called the fire service for assistance. They arrived within ten minutes and the crew treated me with such respect and dignity and made me
feel at ease. Thank you so much for definitely making a difference.

I would like to say a huge 'thank you' to Humberside Fire Service for attending the Tree Planting Event at Grant Thorold Park today. The firefighters who attended were so helpful and happy to assist us in making the event such a success. Nothing was too much for them which we greatly appreciated -I look forward to working with you again at future events.
Thank you for playing a pivotal part in the Defra Flood Rescue Tactical Advisor course hosted by London Fire Brigade In January 2023. Your commitment and support to the course ensured a worthwhile, rewarding week for the delegates. Your contribution ensured a successful week for all, resulting in new Flood Rescue Tactical Advisor’s being introduced to the cadre and added to the National Asset Register.

Scunthorpe Rotary club: I would personally like to thank Michelle for coming on Tuesday lunchtime to give us a very interesting talk especially with such a busy roll in the fire service .Our members thoroughly enjoyed listening to her and were keen to ask her questions. Will you please thank her very much for giving up her valuable time.
I would like to say a huge thank you to Scunthorpe (and other crews who attended) Fire Service who attended a serious RTC on the M181/A1077 evening of 24 Feb, I was the first EMAS clinician on scene. I can’t stress enough how grateful I am for all your teams efforts in supporting the care of the patients, they all did an amazing job. The CPR and airway management from your team was by far the best non-medically trained BLS I have ever witnessed. The team supporting the other patient who provided oxygen, kept him warm and gave reassurance was invaluable which certainly contributed to keeping him stable until further ambulance support arrived. Once again thank you for all your help from myself and on behalf of the ambulance service. Please pass on my gratitude to those involved.

Morning of 28 Feb I called at Tesco Extra at Scunthorpe where a man had collapsed, fortunately one of your officers was there and he did not hesitate to help this poor man. He acted in a very professional manner helping the man, took charge until the ambulance arrived. Please give him my thanks And no doubt his family’s thanks for his terrific efforts.
Rambling Tots Childminding Service: Thank you for allowing us to visit the fire station. We really enjoyed our visit to you and appreciated your time, as well as how good you were with the little children. They are so excited and are still talking all about it.

I work for the Community Urgent Care Team in Grimsby had had to call on one of the teams to attend a patient’s house around 11pm last night that we needed to give medical care to and was unable to gain entry. Two lovely gentlemen arrived and gained us entry, FF Scott and a lovely young gentleman who’s name I’ve forgotten were lovely, courteous and couldn’t do enough for us, making sure the gentlemen’s house was secure on leaving. Please pass on our thanks to them both. They are a credit to your service.
Franklin Thrive: Just a quick email to say thank you so much for delivering workshops at our STEM Conference. It was a hugely successful day and I hope you found it to be a brilliant experience, as the students most certainly did!
St Martin's Primary school: I just wanted to email to thank the fantastic team at Epworth Fire Brigade. They recently visited our primary school and were so informative, helpful and engaging. Our Reception class were mesmerized and blown-away by the fire fighters and fire engine. It is not very often our children were speechless but they were that day. They loved the morning meeting the team and seeing the equipment.
Bridlington MASH (Military Assistance Social Hub): What a fantastic turnout from your crew. We were expecting Martyn and a couple of crew but we never expected a full watch and an engine. My veterans were stunned and really appreciated the time your guys spent with them. We are so grateful to you. Please pass on our thanks to Blue Watch from Bridlington and Martyn from the Humberside Fire Service for their attendance and for their charm and care towards our veterans. Very much appreciated. Thank you.
Martin, Thank you so much for today's talk at the Football Club. I think they would have kept you there all day with all their questions! And thank you for being such an engaging speaker. Everyone enjoyed your presentation and wished we had had more time!
We own a local PT business which also holds group exercise sessions. We were asked by Blue Watch at Immingham East Fire Station, to display a poster in our salon to promote some recruitment days that the brigade were holding. After speaking to the two firefighters who came out, I asked what the entry requirements were and said that I would ask my class members if anyone was interested. The firefighters were very helpful and offered to show us some of the functional training required for anyone interested in applying. We decided that holding a group exercise class there based on this functional training would be a great way for lots of people to experience a little bit of what the fire service is all about and for anyone who maybe interested in joining it gave them an opportunity to try some of the activities required. One of the girls from our group is very interested in becoming a firefighter so she came along to the class too. We did a bleep test then completed the training. All of the firefighters were fantastic. They helped everyone to feel comfortable, they were accommodating and made sure it was a great experience for all our class. It was tough but great fun and all of our class had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would like to personally thank all the firefighters at blue watch for their time and efforts organizing this event for us and especially for their help with our young lady who would like to apply. They made the night one to remember, it was great fun and very informative. A huge success, thank you.
Westcott Tots. Had a visit this morning, my daughter loved it. There was a lady called Lucy who spoke to Veronica about becoming a firefighter and made her feel really happy, just wanted to send a message to say thank you!
