Over 140 former firefighters and staff gathered at The Potting Shed in Beverley in October 2017, shortly after Chris Blacksell took over the role of Chief Fire Officer. There was clearly an appetite to make this sort of get-together a regular event, but the challenge now is to ensure all those that would like to attend actually know about it in the first place!
Future events are planned for Grimsby, Hull and Scunthorpe - dates and venues to be confirmed.

Another recent event was 'The Last Shout' at East Hull Fire Station (pictured right) where many of those who served at Southcoates Lane gathered to share memories of their time on watch.
