FLOODING UPDATE - Predictions for tomorrow (Friday 6 December 2013)

Sea levels are now subsiding, however with tomorrow mornings high tide, areas affected by this evenings flooding will be affected again tomorrow.

High Tides will begin at 07.31am at Spurn Point, please continue to treat the tidal floods across the whole Humberside area as a CRITICAL INCIDENT. For more details please keep checking the Humberside Facebook page or follow the hashtag #Humberflood on Twitter for the most up to date details.

Emergency Services are still responding to emergency calls for service and will continue to do so throughout the night, into the morning. If you need any advice as to how to safeguard your property from floods please follow this link: http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/floods/

The travel infrastructure will be affected in the morning, please check before with you travel for any road closures, train cancellations or flight delays.

The rail network on the northbank of the Humber between Hull and Goole will be closed until at least 12 noon tomorrow.
