Last chance to have your say at public consultations
11 December 2013
Due to the flooding last week, two of the Humberside Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) public consultations were postponed. These have both now been rescheduled for Wednesday 18 December.
The times are as follows:
11.00am – 1.00pm Immingham Civic Centre
5.00pm – 7.00pm Freedom Centre, Preston Road, Hull
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service has seen its budget reduce significantly over recent years and this is set to continue. It is predicted that the organisation will need to make further savings of £5.5m by 2016.
A range of options has been developed to reduce the cost of the operational part of the service. Members of the community are urged to come along to have their say and learn more about the Operational Efficiency Programme. The areas affected by the options are Hull, Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Waltham and Immingham.
These two sessions represent the last chance for the public to have their say in person on a range of options to help Humberside Fire and Rescue Service meet these budget challenges. Feedback may, however, still be given online at www.humbersidefire.gov.uk until 10 January, 2014.
