Family and friends looked on as 18 new retained recruits put on an RTC extrication display with a ‘live’ casualty. The technical skills they have learnt were very much to the fore as the roof of the vehicle was removed and the casualty was placed carefully on a spinal board.

The passing out ceremony in the museum at Fire Service Headquarters was overseen by DCFO Chris Blacksell who congratulated the ‘class of 2014’ and wished them a long and rewarding association with Humberside Fire and Rescue Service.
