A member of the public called to express her thanks to crews at Driffield Fire Station following an RTC in which she was involved in. She said that she has no doubts that the crews contributed to her still being here today.
A member of the public shared a letter of thanks to crews at Scunthorpe Fire Station following a visit by him and his nephew. He said: "The visit proved to be an interesting and successful day."

A letter of thanks has been received by Blue Watch at Clough Road Fire Station from Walker Modular, thanking the crew for their work in tackling a fire in late 2019. "Your speed, bravery and professionalism ensured that the fire was subdued and under control within minutes of your arrival. As an emergency service you are second to none and we can all sleep soundly knowing you are watching over us."
Immingham East & Scunthorpe White Watch have received grateful thanks from ABP after attending a road traffic collision. They wanted to express their gratitude for the response and actions of the fire crews and stated "We truly cannot thank you enough for your efforts and your professionalism, I don’t know what we would do without such dedicated professionals, you really are a credit to the fire service!! If you are ever passing our way, our door is always open to you, and if we can ever repay you in any way please let us know!"
Toni Proctor, Business Safety Inspector, received a thanks from a worker at a premises following a recent visit. They said: "Thanks for your support, we really appreciate your genuine approach to making sure we are doing everything correctly."
Neighbours of a property fire called to express their thanks, appreciation and admiration of the Fire Service recently.
Clough Road Blue Watch recieved a message of thanks following an incident earlier this month. The member of the public said "Throughout they were understanding and sympathetic offering advice and reassurance."
Beverley and Bransholme Fire Stations both recieved a message of thanks for the assistance they gave during the recent floods. They said "they went above and beyond to help him keep the water out’".
The Children’s University have sent a message of thanks to our Education and Development Centre Team. It said "Last week was absolutely amazing! The children gained so much from the day – the smiles on their faces said it all. Your staff were fantastic too"
Snaith Fire Station recieved numerous messages of thanks from residents in Snaith and Cowick following the severe floods in the area. One letter said: "Thank you very much for helping the community with the flooding. I am very greatful for everything you have done".
A resident from Hornsea would like to thank the crew from Hornsea Fire Station after calling them out twice in two weeks.

Our Control operators and Beverley Fire Station have recived a message of thanks. The letter said: "The member of control staff was brilliant and so were the crews"
John Rowland, Road Safety Advocate and Kevin Freer, Community Safety Advocate recieved a message from St Vincents Academy. The letter said: "Thank you so much for coming to our school, we really appreciate it. And thank you for your patience and teaching us all about road safety".
Sarah Russell and Alan Sayles from the North Lincs Public Safety Team recieved a thank you from a resident in Scawby. The resident wanted to pass on their thanks Sarah and Alan for sorting out a faulty alarm. They said how lovely and kind Sarah was and Al was a “lovely chap”.
Local residents wished to express their gratitude to Peaks Lane White Watch, for theirservice and support. They said to mention that, at a time when other services are getting praise, the fire service should also for their continued amazing service.
Crews from Beverely Station attended an incident on 16 April and rescued an elderley resident. Her son said "Thank you so much, you do not get enough praise for the dangerous job that you do. I plan to contact the Chief Fire Officer to express my heartfelt gratitude."
A message was received on our website to say "We would like to thank the firebrigade for their prompt attendance in dealing with our neighbour's garage fire on Saturday. They were very professional in dealing with this."
We received a very kind offer of supplies from a company, which we were unable to accept, but received this message of thanks from them. "Thanks very much for getting back to me. I understand completely, we have contacted a few Fire Services who have been unable to accept any free stock so I’m sure we’ll be putting plans in place to re-direct the cans properly. I just want to say Thank You again, on behalf of everyone for the tireless work you all put in."
Scunthorpe Community Hub sent a lovely message of thanks from one of their recipients of medical deliveries during the Covid-19 Pandemic. She thanked everyone for a fabulous service and was particularly full of praise for firefighter JW who delivered her medication the last time.
And another message to JW " you got a glowing report from a customer yesterday, she was full of praise and thanks."

Grateful thanks were received from a resident following attendance at an incident. "Firefighters tonight put out a large fire at my neighbours house down Stromness Way. It was unbelievable how brave, calm and amazing everyone was. I can’t thank each and every member enough for the hard work you have done and continue to do. We had a call from a grateful resident who wanted to say thank you for the very polite and swift way we responded to her request for a HFSV; a new alarm has been fitted. She was very helpful, polite and professional.

We've been OK and not actually needed anything - but I know that your people have been delivering prescriptions etc. to a lot of people - and still are. Hi we just wanted to say a huge thank you, we had our visit to Barton fire station last night and it was amazing. Grant and his team gave our daughter and us a tour and lots of experiences. We were treated like royalty and her smile never faltered. Thank you so much for everything.
Many thanks for your assistance at East Park on Sunday evening with the rescue of a duck caught up in a nasty looking hook. The duck was returned to the lake this morning.
I’d like to say - thank you to the firefighters who attended to a field fire and also for putting it out before it spread further than it already had! As an unprofessional non-involved bystander (otherwise known as a nosey neighbour), it was a pleasure to know they were on the case, they did what they are trained for quickly and efficiently!

A message was received for Red Watch, Central Fire Station from Adult Safeguarding in Hull to say "we had to call the fire crew out today to gain entry, the crew that supported us were amazing, can you pass on our thanks please."
Can you pass on a message from one of our Fire Authority Members to all the crews that attended the incident in Hornsea which required the use of smoke hoods in the rescues.
The local Co-op have donated a lovely hamper to the teams at Goole station to pass on their thanks to key workers.
Howden crews received a message of thanks for a medical incident they attended in July. The family wanted to pass on their thanks for the care and compassion shown when attending an incident involving a family member.They have shown their gratitude by making a donation to the Fire Fighters Charity.
I would just like to say thanks so much for your help last week to Red Watch at Sunthorpe Station. "I wasn’t really in the best frame of mind at time it all happened but the people who come out to me was absolutely brilliant for calming me down . A lovely message received to "simply to say thanks for the helpfulness, promptness and efficiency replacing a beeping smoke detector: a telephone call elicited a courteous response and rapid transfer to an efficient lady who swiftly elicited the necessary details and organised same day service by two helpful and extremely polite firefighters - job completed in minutes and with a smile. Many appreciative thanks - well done!"
