About
Scunthorpe Fire Station, established in 1963 is also the base for the local Public Safety team. It is crewed by both Full-Time and On-Call firefighters. The station covers Scunthorpe and surrounding villages and has British Steel within its station area. There are several housing estates in the area as well as a large amount of industry and various open sources of water. The station area also covers part of the M180 motorway and Scunthorpe Hospital is within the station area. The station is also home to our local Prevention team.
