Immingham West Fire Station has been converted into a dedicated training venue, which is being used to support locally delivered internal training and for delivering training to external customers. The fire station is currently being used to train recruit firefighters, who are based at the fire station on a residential basis for the duration of their course. It is anticipated that the demand for internal and external training will require Immingham West Fire Station to remain as a dedicated training venue for the foreseeable future.
In order to maintain our standards of fire cover, which are based upon a geographical assessment of domestic dwelling fire risk, two fire engines will continue to be located within the Immingham area. The fire engine previously based at Immingham West currently responds from Immingham East Fire Station.
