We aim to provide as much information as possible about the Service via this website.

Please ensure that you check the website prior to making a request for information as it is intended to provide the quickest and easiest access to any information that is already freely accessible. We strongly believe that by publishing information about fires, other emergencies and how we manage our services, we will achieve greater understanding, trust, engagement and openness with the public.

Fire Report Extracts

If you have experienced a fire or are representing a person who has (an insurance company, a solicitor or a loss adjuster for example) you can request a copy of an extract from the fire report. The extract will contain identifying details of the property, the time and date of the incident, the main cause of fire and a summary of the damage caused to the property.

We make a charge for the cost of providing fire report extracts and the current charge is £112.25.

Requests from local authority departments: A different arrangement exists for our local authority partners who do not need to send us a cheque with the request form.

To request a fire report extract, please complete and sign the form below. This can be completed electronically, but must be printed off, signed and posted to the following address:

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service
Data and Applications
Digital Services
Summergroves Way
Hull
HU4 7BB

Please include a cheque made payable to Humberside Fire Authority with the completed form.

Please note that there are some occasions where we will withhold fire reports. For example, this may occur if there are on-going criminal investigations or the cause of the fire is still being determined.

If you are not the occupier of the property where the fire originated, we will write to the occupier to ensure that they do not object to us providing their personal data to a third party. Should their permission not be granted, or if we are unable to contact them, we can still provide information about the fire but it will be much reduced. Bear this in mind when making your request as we will still make a charge for this service.
