If you notice a problem with a fire hydrant in the Humberside area, please let us know.

There are more than 20,000 fire hydrants across the Humberside area. Most can be identified by a yellow sign with a black "H" on it.

Fire hydrants are usually found underground beneath covers on pavements, grass verges and roads. They provide firefighters with the water needed to tackle fires.

Report a problem

If you notice a problem with a fire hydrant, such as:

  • A water leak
  • Damage to the cover or frame
  • A missing or damaged "H" sign
  • Anything blocking access to it

Use the fire hydrant report form to report a problem.

Please give us as much information as possible, including the location and details of the problem, so we can find the hydrant.

Important
