Contract Type: Permanent, 37 hours per week

Salary: Grade 9 (£35,235– £37,035 per annum)

Location: Humberside Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Prevention Team: we are looking to recruit an individual with a passion for improving the lives of young people within our community. We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual to join a forward-thinking Prevention Team.

You will play a key role in the Prevention Team, leading and coordinating activities to support the development of youth engagement and in achieving outcomes aligned to early intervention and inclusion across Prevention activities.

Key aspects of the role involve:

  • Lead, manage and contribute towards the production and co-ordination in the delivery of the early intervention and youth engagement delivery.
  • Support the development of core Prevention activities including, youth education, Fire Cadets, Fire Safety Interventions and Schools Education.
  • Co-ordinate and contribute to training activities to staff in support of the prevention training plan, in areas such as youth engagement with a focus on reduction in arson and serious violence.
  • Liaise with partners on the delivery of NFCC youth engagement outcomes for vulnerable young people.
  • Co-ordinate and lead on activities to support young people who may have barriers to engagement

The role is full time, 37 hours per week. The successful candidate must be flexible in their hours, be willing to commit to occasional weekends and be willing to travel throughout the Humberside Service area as needed.
