Salary: Grade 8 (£32,654 - £33,366)

Location: Humberside Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters, Summergroves Way, Hull

We are seeking a Service Improvement Officer to join our Corporate Assurance team at Humberside Fire and Rescue Service. The successful candidate will help support and drive continuous service improvement. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, organised, with a keen eye for detail, and have the ability to develop and apply innovative solutions. They will have excellent communication and engagement skills, and be a team player.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Service Improvement: To administer, deliver and advise on actions from the Service Improvement Plan and Risk and Opportunity Register.
  2. Project Management support: To enable and support the delivery and management of Service projects.
  3. Internal Audit: To support the facilitation of an annual programme of internal audit.
  4. Inspection support: To assist with the preparation and facilitation of HMICFRS inspection programme(s).
  5. Fire Standards: Identification, coordination and quality assurance of evidence used to support the attainment of Fire Standards.
  6. Information Governance: To support the management of information governance, including the processing of Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information/Environmental Information Regulations requests.
  7. Policy: To support the facilitation of policy administration and provide guidance and support to managers and staff on the implementation of associated policies and, procedures.
