The crowds did not disappoint as they cheered on firefighters from all over the UK and abroad as they competed in a series of demanding challenges.
Over this Saturday and Sunday, thousands joined us down King Edward Street in Hull's City Centre to cheer on firefighters.
The British Firefighter Challenge is an annual event organised by firefighters for firefighters that test their speed, skill and strength. A weekend packed with entertainment and fun for all the family, children had the chance to take part in a mini course and help raise funds for the event's main charity, The Fire Fighters Charity.
Chris Blacksell Chief Fire Officer said: “We’re so proud to have been this year's hosts and have the Challenge down the entirety of King Edward Street in Hull's City Centre. It’s been a great event and opportunity to show off our firefighter's skills and the camaraderie amongst fire service staff.
"Thank you to all the sponsors who have generously supported the event and to the many volunteers who have helped with the smooth running across the weekend. It's been a fantastic event to bring people together and I hope our communities have enjoyed it as much as I have.
"Here's to 2023's event which will be hosted in Manchester by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service."
