As Bonfire Night approaches, communities across the Humber and wider Yorkshire and Lincolnshire regions are gearing up for spectacular firework displays and traditional bonfire celebrations. Whether you're looking for a family-friendly event or a vibrant display of pyrotechnics, there's something for everyone in the region.

Here's a roundup of public events happening near you:

Friday 1 November 2024:

Nafferton Silent Firework Festival. 5:00pm at Nafferton Recreation Club, £6.

Saturday 2 November 2024:

Springhead Park Golf Club, Willerby Road, Hull. Tickets are £5 per person from the clubhouse and coffee shop. Your ticket includes hot food, such as steak pie and mushy peas for adults, and pizza and chips for children. A small drink and a bag of sweets are included for children. Food and entertainment are available in the clubhouse from 3pm to 5pm, followed by fireworks starting at 5:15pm. Please note, this is a ticket-only event.

South Cave Bonfire and Firework Display, hosted by South Cave School and supported by South Cave PTA. Gates open 5pm, bonfire lit at 5:30pm.

Kilham Bonfire and Fireworks – gates open at 5pm, bonfire at 6:30pm, fireworks at 7pm. Tickets must be pre-booked online.

North Frodingham Bonfire Night Display, Village Hall, 6:30pm to 9pm, £7 entry (Under 14s free). Includes indoor viewing area, food stalls, and a bar. Cash and card payments accepted. No sparklers allowed.

Gainsborough Rotary Club Fireworks Extravaganza, Roses, North Warren Road, Gainsborough. 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Enjoy a bonfire, fireworks, and live entertainment at this popular local event. Early bird tickets are available from £6.50 for adults and £4.50 for children, fireworks at approximately 7.40pm.

Sunday 3 November 2024:

Hull Vineyard Bonfire Night (Clough Road, Hull). Professionally run fireworks display, a huge bonfire, and a range of food stalls. Adult tickets £3, child tickets £1.50.

KP Club, Kilnwick Percy Resort Pocklington, Firework Spectacular. Gates open at 5pm, entertainment 5-8pm, fireworks 7:30pm. General admission tickets in advance – adults £10, children £5 (family of 4 £25). Limited availability on the night (cash only) – adults £15, children £10.

Hutton Cranswick Firework Fiesta at the SRA. 4pm to 8pm. Burgers, hot dogs, children’s entertainer, face painting, live music, licensed bar and fun for all ages. Fundraising event for the SRA. Entrance £5 for adults, £2 for children under 16.

Hornsea Carnival Firework Display and Fair Rides, 5:30pm to 9:30pm. Hall Garth Park, Cinema Street, Hornsea.

Walkington Bonfire and Firework Display, 5 to 7pm. Walkington Playing Field.

Tuesday 5 November 2024:

Brantingham Park Firework Extravaganza. Gates open at 4:30pm, food, free face painting, kids disco, free car parking and a first-class display at 7:15pm. Ticket only, via Eventbrite.

Blackburn Leisure, Brough. Fireworks at 6:30pm. Plus food vendor and bar open.

Pocklington Firework Display – Organised by Pocklington Town Council. Gates open 5pm. Bonfire lit at 5:30pm, fireworks at 5:45pm/6pm.

The Ship Inn, Cliff Road, Sewerby, Bridlington. 5pm to 7pm.

Barton Lions Firework Event – Baysgarth Park, Barton-upon-Humber. Gates open 5:30pm. Organised by Barton Lions. Spectacular firework display and a variety of amusements on-site.

Other Events:

Sledmere Musical Fireworks Spectacular

Saturday 26 October, 4-9pm. It’s the 9th year of the fantastic Musical Fireworks Spectacular, and this year’s theme is 80s Pop.

Sky Magic

A traditional, professional fireworks display with the biggest and best effects, plus entertainment, a funfair with children’s rides, and a Food Village.

  • 2 November 2024 at Scampston Hall. Entertainment starts at 5pm, with the main display at approximately 7:45pm. Featuring two displays: one to Motown, the other to Northern Soul.
  • 5 November 2024 at Driffield Showground. Entertainment starts at 4:30pm, with the main display at approximately 6:45pm.

Autumn Lights

A touring firework fiesta with two displays choreographed to music from around the world. Closest events are:

  • Lincoln: 1 November 2024 at Lincolnshire Showground (LN2 2NA)
  • Leeds: 2 November 2024 at Temple Newsam Park (LS15 0AD)
  • York: 4 November 2024 at Elvington Airfield (YO41 4AU)
  • Sheffield: 5 November 2024 at Don Valley Bowl

Each venue hosts the event from 4pm to 9pm, with firework displays at 7:40pm and a grand finale at 9pm.
