Its just days to go until Rescue Day! Saturday 13 July hosts it annual emergency services day at Lakes Country Park in Crowle, North Lincolnshire. Make some great memories at this family friendly event.

Its shaping up to be another action-packed mixture of live 999 displays and fun for all the family. Humberside Fire and Rescue will be at the centre of the action alongside:

  • East Midlands Ambulance Service
  • Humberside Police
  • Regional Emergency and Voluntary Rescue Teams

Rescue Day allows the public close up access to the emergency and voluntary services and helps to promote safer communities. The event raises funds for charities and good causes, has funded emergency equipment, including community defibrillators, to many villages and locations across North Lincs and have provided donations to many different good causes.

British Transport Police will show how they deal with a public order incident, Ambulance, Hazardous Area Response Teams and Fire Service Urban Search and Rescue Teams will be demonstrating their specialist skills, plus working dogs, including those from Humberside Police, K9 Fire Investigation and favourites from Pete Lewin Newfoundlands will all be in action. The ever popular Red Devils Army Parachute display team will be making a spectacular splash as they land into the main lake at 1pm and the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance and Children’s Air Ambulance will be landing in front of the crowds during the day.

There will be over 100 stalls and exhibitors, including charities, emergency vehicles old and new, chances to interact and get involved with the many 999 and support teams.

Acitivites include:

  • Rowing on the lake
  • climbing wall
  • Confined space tunnel
  • Boat rides
  • Pony rides
  • Fun fair
  • A variety of food and drink stands

Children who dress up as of one of their emergency heroes can enter the fancy dress competition, with the chance of winning a £50 toy voucher. Full details are on the Rescue Day website.

  • Gates are open 9.30am to 5pm; car parking is free
