Today we were proud to welcome 11 new On-Call firefighters, four Fire Control Operators, three Fire Staff and 10 Full-Time firefighters into our Humberside Fire family.
This event honours the exceptional dedication and hard work of our newest staff, who have successfully completed their training and probationary periods.
Our newest team members have undergone rigorous preparation to equip them with the vital skills required for their roles.
Whether developing lifesaving techniques, mastering operational expertise, or enhancing the behind-the-scenes systems that keep our Service running smoothly, they have demonstrated exceptional commitment, teamwork, and proficiency; qualities that embody the values of Humberside Fire and Rescue Service.
Firefighter Fleming and Firefighter Jackson received the distinguished honour of a silver axe from our Training Instructors, acknowledging their exceptional performance and unwavering determination.
Chief Fire Officer Phil Shillito closed the ceremony saying, “Together we form a strong and unified team, bound by a common purpose, to safeguard and protect the communities in the Humber area.
“Thank you for your time and commitment over the last few months. I do not doubt that, together, we will continue to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.”
The event is a fitting way to end a year filled with celebrations and milestones, highlighting the continued dedication of our staff and the unwavering commitment to protecting and serving the communities of the Humber region.
