Chris Blacksell, Chief Fire Officer and Chief Executive of Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, will be presenting a Leadership conference on behalf of CMI (Chartered Management Institute).

The conference, entitled Leadership in Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, will take place at the Fire and Rescue Service HQ, based on Summergroves Way, Hull, on 14 March from 6.00pm until 8.30pm.

Chris will discuss the challenges faced by Humberside Fire and Rescue Service in ensuring the Service is prepared for the future ahead. The presentation will explore areas around staff empowerment, communication, and opportunities around workforce diversity.

Chris has over 30 years of experience in the Fire Service, having joined Humberside as a Firefighter in 1988. He has led transformational change in the Service over many years, with a keen interest in Organisational Development. He has a Masters Degree in Fire Investigation, and is the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) Lead for Fire Investigation.

The event costs £3 for non-members of CMI and is free for members.
