Update at 9.15am 29 April 2026
We received a call at 9.30pm on 28 April, reporting a fire in a derelict building on Fort Terrace in Bridlington. Our firefighters arrived quickly on scene and found a fire at the rear of the property on the first floor, which was spreading to the upper floors and into the roof.
During the night we had six fire engines, along with two aerial ladder platforms and our drone in attendance.
Our firefighters worked hard to establish a fire break to stop the fire from spreading and brought the incident under control in the early hours of the morning.
We still have two fire engines and an aerial ladder platform at the scene, damping down to make sure there is no re-ignition.
If you are affected by smoke, please keep your windows and doors closed.
