We’re thrilled to announce that Howden Fire Station is getting a complete rebuild at its current location, reinforcing our commitment to both our staff and the local community.
The new station is expected to be completed by 2025 and will feature modern facilities designed to support our On-Call firefighters for years to come.
While the building work is happening, our On-Call firefighters will still be available to respond as usual. They have a temporary home down the road from the current station, meaning response times will be unaffected.
Jon Henderson, Area Manager at Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, said, “Thanks to the generous support from Howden’s Joinery, we’ve set up a temporary fire station at their main site in Howden. This rebuild isn’t just about a new building, it’s an investment in the future of our community. We’re looking forward to the day we can open the doors to a brand-new fire station that will better serve both our firefighters and everyone in Howden.”
