Kirton-in-Lindsey fire station will be holding an open day on 6 April from 10am to 2pm.
All local residents are encouraged to attend, as the open day will provide visitors with an opportunity to speak to members of crew, as well as a sneak peek around the station, which has recently undergone a refurbishment.
Members of the Safer Roads Humber team, and Public Safety teams will be in attendance on the day too to provide safety advice to visitors.
Ian Steedman, Watch Manager at the station, said: “We’re really excited to be able to host an open day and have our local community join us for what’s set to be a really great day.
“As an On-Call fire station, we’re currently recruiting for On-Call Firefighters, and we’ll be providing some information on the day for people to find out more about what it entails.”
The new extension of Kirton-in-Lindsey fire station means that they are able to offer a kitchen and meeting area to those who wish to hire them. For an informal chat about this, those interested are asked to come along to the open day.
The event is free to attend and no prior booking is required.
