Humberside Fire and Rescue Service has welcomed three Vauxhall Combo-E’s to its fleet.

Based at Cromwell Road Fire Station in Grimsby, these vans are replacing end of service diesel vehicles and will be used by our prevention teams to travel to home fire safety and school visits.

Jon Henderson, Area Manager of Prevention, Protection, Fleet and Estates said, “We are really pleased to have these electric vans in our fleet.

“Over the next four years, we will be investing in the necessary infrastructure to fully support an electric vehicle fleet. Our goal is to replace existing vehicles, wherever it is practical and feasible, in line with the Service’s Environmental Sustainability Plan.”
