Humberside Fire and Rescue Service wants to shine a light on the incredible drive, motivation and compassion within our local community.
Every day, people go out of their way, through selfless acts, to care for the vulnerable, raise money for worthy causes, lift spirits, and remind others they are not alone.
This year, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude and say thank you to all the everyday heroes among us.

If so, nominate your everyday hero today for a chance to receive the Everyday Hero Award at Humberside Fire and Rescue Service’s Recognition Awards.
Nominations close on Monday 30 June 2025.
A shortlist of three nominees will be invited to attend the Recognition Awards evening on Friday 17 October at the MKM Stadium in Hull. The winner will receive the Everyday Hero Award, presented by Phil Shillito, Chief Fire Officer.
