It goes without saying that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought out the best in people and drawn us closer together as a society. People have shown true bravery and resilience, and as a nation have pulled together, restoring faith in humanity.
People living in the Humber area have, through selfless acts, gone out of their way to look after the vulnerable, thank and raise money for the brave, make people smile, keep spirits high and let people know they aren't alone.
Each year Humberside Fire and Rescue Service host their annual Recognition Awards to recognise and reward staff and partners for excellence.
This year we want to extend our gratitude to our community and say thank you to all the unsung heroes out there.
We want to shine a light on the incredible drive, motivation and love in our local area.
Therefore, we are asking members of the public to nominate their unsung hero.
