Contract Type: Volunteer

Commitment: One day per week

Closing Date: Noon on 31st August 2025

Do you have some spare time which could be used to help make Humberside a better place? Do you love a challenge or want to give something back to the community?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Humberside Fire and Rescue Service as a volunteer. We are looking to recruit individuals with a passion for improving the areas our staff work and giving them, along with family and friends a well kept and cared for space where they can come, reflect and think about loved ones in our memorial garden area. As a volunteer you will help keep this space tidy and treat it with the respect it deserves.

Main tasks include:

  • Attendance at our Service Headquarters once a week to maintain the memorial garden, trees and plaque area.

In return volunteers will benefit from:

  • Relevant key training
  • Evidence and experience for your CV
  • Improved communication and interpersonal skills
  • Satisfaction of knowing you have helped the communities of Humberside
  • Reimbursement of travel and out of pocket expenses whilst volunteering
