Salary: This is a volunteer role and successful applicants will only be paid for any expenses as required when attending an interview panel.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) is looking for members of its community to join its interview panel. If you’re interested in joining us, we would love to hear from you.
What’s involved?
The community interview panel will be made up of community members, who will have the opportunity to interview candidates and provide feedback and recommendations to the Service. If you become part of our community interview panel, you’ll be supported by our Human Resources team who will tell you about the role, what we’re looking for and the recruitment process itself.
As part of the community interview panel, you will meet with the candidates, score them against agreed criteria and, together with the rest of the panel, put forward your views to the appointments panel.
As part of the HFRS community interview panel, you will only be required for a few days a year as we are keen to ensure your commitment with us is not too demanding.
Skills you will need:
- Passion for our community
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team of community members
- Confidence to speak in a group
The support you can expect from us:
- You will be supported by both our Strategic Leadership Team and our Human Resources team
- You will receive comprehensive training on inclusive recruitment, data protection, equality and diversity.
