Humberside Fire and Rescue Service want to shine a light on the incredible drive, motivation, and love in our local area.
People have, through selfless acts, go out of their way to look after the vulnerable, raise money for worthy causes, make people smile, keep spirits high and let people know they are not alone.
This year, we want to extend our gratitude to our community and say thank you to all the unsung heroes out there.

If so, nominate your unsung hero today for a chance to receive the Unsung Hero Award, at this year’s Humberside Fire and Rescue Service’s Recognition Awards. The closing date for nominations is Wednesday 31 July 2024.
A shortlist of three nominations will receive an invitation to attend the Recognition Awards evening, on Friday 22 November, at the MKM Stadium in Hull. The winner will receive the Unsung Hero Award, presented by Phil Shillito, Chief Fire Officer.

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service values and support its staff, partner agencies and the communities within the Humber area. To promote and support our ethical Principles and Behaviours, the Service continues to offer recognition and reward by hosting an annual Recognition Awards evening, sponsored by local businesses, to recognise staff and partners for excellence.
