In a proud moment witnessed by their families and friends, our latest firefighter recruits showcased their commitment and skills in firefighting and life-saving techniques. Firefighter Thomas Jubb was honoured with a silver axe by our Training Instructors in recognition of their exemplary performance and unwavering attitude throughout.

On-Call firefighters will be serving at the following fire stations:

  • Beverley
  • Brough
  • Brigg
  • Cleethorpes
  • Pocklington
  • Patrington

Chief Fire Officer Phil Shillito warmly welcomes the newest members of the Humberside Fire family, remarking, “Today marks the start of a career that promises both challenges and fulfilment, accompanied by great responsibility. I am very proud of the dedication exhibited by our recruits and it's heartening to witness our Full-Time and On-Call firefighters working seamlessly, as they frequently do during incidents."

Our values and behaviours in the Core Code of Ethics are what make us who we are as an organisation and we must all continually strive to build on the trust placed upon us by our communities. Whether in a vulnerable person's home, helping them to be safe, or involved in rescuing someone from the worst moment of their life.”

“The pride and satisfaction in serving the community and being part of this incredible team cannot be underestimated. I wish all our staff a long and happy career with Humberside Fire and Rescue Service.”
