Humberside Fire and Rescue Service want to shine a light on the incredible drive, motivation, and love in our local area.

Local hero image 1

People have, through selfless acts, gone out of their way to look after the vulnerable, thank and raise money for the brave, make people smile, keep spirits high and let people know they are not alone.

This year, we want to extend our gratitude to our community and say thank you to all the unsung heroes out there.

Shortlisters will be invited to attend Humberside Fire and Rescue Service’s annual Recognition Awards evening, in October, where the winner will be announced…

Therefore, we are asking members of the public to nominate their unsung hero.

Do you know someone who?

  • has made a difference to someone’s life?
  • goes beyond the call of duty?
  • shows courage and kindness?

If so, nominate your truly extraordinary hero here.

Alternatively, if you would like a nomination pack by post:

Email: corporatecommunication@humbersidefire.gov.uk

Telephone: 01482 565333

The closing date for nominations is Sunday 31 July 2022.

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service values and support its staff, partner agencies and the communities within the Humber area. To promote and support our ethical Principles and Behaviours, the Service continue to offer recognition and reward by hosting an annual Recognition Awards evening, sponsored by local businesses, to recognise staff and partners for excellence.
