Our fire crews have been working in conjunction with fire crews from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue to tackle the fire. Further updates on the incident are available to read here.
Our fire crews are working really hard to save as much of this beautiful habitat as possible. .
- Please do not go for a walk on Hatfield Moor – the whole area is the site of an operational incident. Not only is it risky for members of the public, it drags emergency services away from their vital work
- Keep your windows and doors closed, as much as possible, if you live nearby – different areas continue to be affected by the smoke plume due to changes in wind direction
