Peaks Lane Firefighters Fete made a welcomed return this summer, drawing a crowd of nearly 5,500 people on Saturday 12 July to the fire station.

Peaks Lane Firefighters Fete 2025

The family friendly event offered something for everyone, from fire engine tours and live demonstrations to games, food stalls and community fun.

The day was made even more special by the appearance of Guy Martin, who joined in the celebrations and helped to support fundraising efforts for two important causes, The Fire Fighters Charity and St Andrew’s Hospice.

The Service is proud to announce that the event raised just over £14,500, which will be split between the charities.

Steve Maloney, Watch Manager and Organiser for the fete said, “We’re absolutely thrilled with the turnout and the amount raised.

“The support from the local community was overwhelming, and having Guy Martin with us really helped make the day one to remember.

“A massive thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, or contributed in any way, we couldn’t have done it without you.”

Peaks Lane Fire Station was bustling with activity throughout the day as visitors of all ages enjoyed hands on experiences, met their local firefighters and learned more about fire safety in an engaging and fun setting.

Plans are already in motion for next year’s fete, with organisers promising another unforgettable day out for the community.

Thank you to everyone who made the 2025 fete such a success, we’ll see you next year!
