Crews and Community Safety teams from the Humberside Fire and Rescue Service North East Lincolnshire District are busy preparing for their Firefighters Fete, taking place at Peaks Lane Fire Station on Thursday 1 August from 12pm-4pm.

The Firefighters Fete returns after a break of six years, and this year’s event is set to top the rest. Visitors to the event can expect to see carnival inspired games, stalls and rides, as well as a display drill to showcase how the crews respond to an emergency. Face painters, stilt walkers and even Princess Anna and Elsa will also feature at the event.

Special guest comedian and Soccer AM presenter Lloyd Griffith is set to open the event.

Liam Boole, Firefighter and member of the Firefighters Fete events team, said: “We’re really excited to bring the Firefighters Fete back to our local community.

“We’ve used our spare time to make this event bigger and better than any of the previous years, and I know many people have fond memories of previous Firefighters Fete events.

“I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed!”

The Firefighters Fete event is free entry, and tokens can be bought once inside.
