Members of Humberside Fire and Rescue (HFRS) staff took part in the Alzheimer’s Society Cupcake Day on Thursday 13 June to help raise vital funds for the charity.

Staff baked or bought in their cupcakes, which were sold to their colleagues and visitors to HFRS headquarters.

A huge sum of £140.00 was raised from the day, which will go towards paying for two people with dementia to attend Singing for the Brain sessions for one year, where they and their carers can come together for an hour each week to sing and dance with music.

Cupcake flavours included coffee, salted caramel, chocolate orange, red velvet and mixed spice.
