Driffield fire station achieved a top spot in The Fire Fighters Charity Bag it and Bank it Recycling Champions 2019 list.

Driffield fire station has once again achieved third place in The Fire Fighters Charity Bag it and Bank it Recycling Champions 2019 list. The list celebrates those stations that have collected the most recyclable items within their recycling banks, based at the station.

The station was pipped to the post by Egremont fire station, based in Cumbria, and Oundle fire station, based in Northamptonshire.

There were separate lists for England, Scotland and Wales stations, with the total amount amounting to a massive 312 tonnes. The recycled items helped to raise £68,145.70 for The Fire Fighters Charity, who support members of the Fire Service and their families during times of distress.

Well done to all involved!
